Have you wondered why your butter doesn't soften at room temperature anymore?
In recent years when I've made Christmas cookies with butter, sugar and flour they just won't hold together without adding liquid. Apparently this is because dairy farmers are adding palm oil to their cows' feed. Check out this CBC article.What's a woke person to do?
Actually that Smithsonian article sounds suspiciously like maybe they're getting donations from the palm oil industry. And there's still the problem of butter that won't melt on my toast.
I'm switching to organic.
