Things we did in June

Leo took this photo of a yellow warbler at Scout Island.

We went on an evening hike with the naturalists on Fox Mountain.  We checked out a fox den but the foxes were not showing themselves.  We stopped at the height of land on the gas line where we could see across the Fraser River and the Chilcotin Plateau all the way to Mount Tatlow in Ts'yl-os (Chilco) Provincial Park. That's almost 200 km away.

Those white peaks in the distance are in the Chilcotin Range

I hiked with our Wednesday walk run group from one member's home in the Dog Creek Road area to another's home in Russet Bluff.  It took us three hours and rained intermittently.

The tiger lilies like the rain though!

We volunteered at the annual Walk to End ALS.

The community band gave a concert in Boitanio Park on a very cold and rainy evening.

And a week later we played in the Stampede parade

and at the July 1st celebration and at the Stampede Grounds.

And that same weekend in between rain showers  we went for a paddle on Dewar Lake with friends.  Our first paddle of the year!
