Chiricahua National Monument Reviews

Connie's Review:

Winner of Cleanest Toilets in Arizona Award:  Chiricahua National Monument!  Honestly, you could eat off these real tile floors.  They were not only washed, they were waxed.  Even the vault toilets at the trailheads were tiled and waxed.  And the campground toilet was heated.  A great luxury, especially after two freezing nights in the little tent that didn't.  Patagonia State Park still holds the prize for best shower, because Chiricahua has none.

(I told you I was an aficionado of reststops/restrooms!)

Leo's Review (as paraphrased by Connie):

The US National Park Fire Grate:

This grate gets an A for venting, both on the sides and rear of the grill, unlike those @#$%*&!% idiots at BC Parks, who haven't figured out that you need vents or your fire won't amount to anything.

The grill is nicely designed so you can lower it over the coals when they burn down, with a nifty handle designed to stay cool.

The grate is built at waist height so you can comfortably cook over it, and it keeps the fire off the ground to help prevent forest fires.  However it loses points for not keeping your legs warm.  We had to stand on our step stool to get warm.

Also comes with handy scraper and bucket for emptying the ashes into.
Earns *** out of *****.
