The Desert Abloom

All week at Salton Sea we saw rainclouds over the Mountains surrounding us.  Well, today we drove up into those mountains to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to witness the results.

Right across from our campsite is the cactus loop trail, which leads you past cactuses, ocotillo, hummingbird bushes and many freshly blooming flowers.

Wow, a big barrel cactus in bloom!

Where there's flowers there's birds:

We checked out the park's visitor centre, neatly tucked into the hillside, and I took a little wifi time.

While Leo stalked the birds in the surrounding desert garden.
