The following week we camped at Big Bar Lake Provincial Park near Clinton with our friends Glen and Cathy.
At this campground the sites along the lake are all reservation sites and the drop in campsites are uphill away from the lake. Except there's a row of rv sites that are basically just parking slots with a picnic table at the end. Normally we would never camp in a site like that, but with 2 parties we're were able to create a private spot with two picnic tables and a view of the lake.
Our campsite with much appreciated bug tent and matching trailers. Ours is the far one.
Our view and lake access with Glen's canoe
In the distance on the second photo you can see a small hill. There's a lovely loop trail leading along the lake and up that Ester and around a marsh. It takes about an hour and a half to walk.
On the esker
We stopped at a bench to enjoy the view and the wildflowers.
