The next day we drove to the south end of the Marble Range and hiked up Porcupine Ridge. This trail was steeper than the first hike but shorter.
We hiked through a burn where the wildflowers were spectacular.

After 2-1/2 hours we reached the Ridge.
Cathy and I enjoyed the view
And the flowers
Moss campion
Mountain forget-me-not
While the guys climbed to the high point of the Ridge.
They climbed up there.
At the summit!
Even the subalpine fir were blooming profusely:
Another fabulous hike!
