Again we were slow getting up so by the time we made the 40 minute drive to Bisbee we were a little late getting on our trail up the Brewery Gulch.
We passed by an art car dedicated to Hillary Clinton.
Every time we come back to Bisbee it gets more gentrified. I used to fantasize about fixing up an old shack for myself, but these are becoming fewer and farer between.
This place wasn't a shack last time we were here but it has gotten a new paint job and acquired more wall planters.
Up we hiked.
We were searching for black-chinned sparrows.
Finally we heard one calling and played its song to bring it in. I got a glimpse of it before it flew off. No Photo opportunity.
Leo did get a good shot of this canyon towhee.
There just weren't many birds calling and it was approaching lunchtime. We headed back to town and ate expensive, but tasty, sandwiches at the Bisbee coffee house. Then Leo had to admit he wasn't feeling well at all, so we headed back to the trailer. Thus perhaps, the lack of bird photos in this post. But here is a blurry photo of a western bluebird perched on an agave stalk, high on the horizon.
