It was a leisurely morning as we had only a 1 hour drive to our next destination. Sierra has some lovely mountains and canyons to explore but it lacks any public campsites. So we are set up in a private rv park for a week. Quail Ridge RV Park is no better or worse than any other rv park but it's under $14 a night. And it has laundry and shower facilities which we sorely needed (we have not yet solved our hot water issue). There's an atv track alongside the highway which serves as a running track.
We spent the afternoon washing laundry. Just before sunset we walked around the rv park; there's a surprising amount of birds. Probably 1000 house sparrows, but also cactus wren and thrashers calling, white-winged Doves, and various sparrows, including the first green-tailed towhee of the trip and the Bird of the Day.
It's Arizona, so even the rv park sunsets are pretty great.
